Tread
lightly in China
First,
it was speculators running up the the price of housing until The Everyday Joe
could no longer afford a home and now the bubble is bursting.
Then what? Then they
move on to oil and oil futures, speculating until prices are so out of whack
with supply that your feeling the pain at the pump now. I would love to see the
speculators forced to take delivery of the contracts they buy with no intention
of buying. If you actually took delivery of a thousand barrels of oil and put it
in your backyard, you wouldn't think it was so valuable. You would probably be
happy to disperse of it at twenty dollars a barrel. That's how you find its
true worth.
What to do after
pillaring the oil sector? Hey, let's run up speculative Chinese stocks.
Don't be a Foolish
and invest in that quagmire, where the government can, has and will dissolve a
fully functional Company just for the hey of it.
Not to mention these
Companies are not even remotely close to having their earnings regulated as
their American Counterparts. You think restating earnings is bad? Wait till you
see restating that a Company even exists.
Chances are, when
you see a bandwagon, its already too late to jump on. And if you trust the
Chinese Government over your own, Speculate away High Roller!
